Terms & Conditions
and Privacy Policy
Please read these terms carefully. They affect your legal rights. The provisions that most affect you are: Section 12 (Assumption of Risk), Section 20 (Disclaimer of Warranties), Section 21 (Limitation of Liability), which caps what we owe you, Section 24 (Complaints and Time Limit for Claims), which shortens the period in which you may bring a claim, and Section 28 (Governing Law, Venue and Jury Trial Waiver), in which you and WanderMe each waive the right to a jury trial and agree to a single exclusive venue.
Part 1 · Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") form an agreement between WanderMe, LLC ("WanderMe", "we", "us" or "our") and you, the person accessing our Site or requesting, booking or taking a Trip ("you", "your" or the "Traveler"). This Agreement consists of these Terms, the Privacy Policy set out in Part 2 below, the Operator Conditions applicable to your Trip, and any written Booking Confirmation, quotation or proposal we issue to you.
This Agreement takes effect on the earlier of the date you first access the Site and the date you submit an inquiry or booking request (the "Effective Date"), and continues until terminated under Section 27.
If you are booking for, or submitting information about, any other person, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age, that you have that person's authority to make the booking and to provide their personal information, and that you have brought this Agreement to their attention. You accept this Agreement on your own behalf and on behalf of every person in your booking party, and you are jointly and severally responsible for all obligations of your party under it. If you are accepting this Agreement on behalf of a company or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.
1. Definitions
In this Agreement, capitalized terms have the following meanings.
- "Booking Confirmation" means the written confirmation we or an Operator issue confirming a Trip, its dates, its price and its inclusions.
- "Private Departure" means a Trip from our catalog that the Operator arranges to run privately for your group alone, rather than as a scheduled departure open to other travelers.
- "Featured Trip" means a scheduled group departure operated by an Operator and listed on the Site.
- "Operator" means the third-party tour operator that owns, organizes and delivers a Trip, including G Adventures, Intrepid Travel and Exoticca.
- "Operator Conditions" means the Operator's own booking conditions, cancellation policy and essential trip information applicable to your Trip.
- "Site" means wanderme.travel, the WanderMe traveler portal, and any WanderMe application.
- "Trip" means the travel goods and services you request, book or take through us, whether a Featured Trip or a Private Departure.
- "Traveler Content" has the meaning given in Section 17.
2. Who we are, and the capacity in which we act
WanderMe, LLC is a travel agent and curator. We present and arrange Featured Trips operated by third-party Operators, and we arrange Private Departures of those same Operator trips. We act as agent only. We are not a tour operator, and we do not organize, package or deliver any Trip. Your contract for the delivery of the Trip itself is with the Operator in every case, and the Operator Conditions apply to that contract alongside this Agreement. We will identify the Operator to you in writing before you commit to a booking.
WanderMe, LLC is an independent affiliate of Fora Travel, Inc. ("Fora"), our host agency. Fora provides our IATA accreditation and processes supplier commissions on our behalf. This arrangement does not change the price you pay. Fora Travel, Inc. is located at 228 Park Ave. South #53272, New York, NY 10003-1502 and can be reached at +1 844-409-3672. Fora Travel, Inc. is a registered Seller of Travel in California (No. 2151995-50) and Washington (UBI No. 605329242), and holds British Columbia CPBC License No. 88694 and Ontario TICO Registration No. 50027942. Fora Travel, Inc. is registered with the State of Florida as a Seller of Travel. Registration No. ST43973. Registration as a seller of travel does not constitute approval by the State of California. WanderMe, LLC holds no seller of travel registrations of its own.
3. Acceptance and eligibility
By accessing the Site, submitting an inquiry, or making or accepting a booking, you accept this Agreement. If you do not accept it, do not use the Site and do not book with us.
The Site and our services are offered to adults. You must be at least 18 years of age to make a booking. Travelers under 18 may travel only where the applicable Trip permits it and only when booked and supervised by a responsible adult who accepts this Agreement on their behalf. Some Trips carry minimum age requirements, which are stated on the relevant trip page.
4. Order of precedence
Where a conflict arises between documents forming this Agreement, the following order of precedence applies, from highest to lowest: (a) the Operator Conditions and any Booking Confirmation, in respect of the delivery, alteration, cancellation and refund of the Trip itself; (b) any written quotation or proposal we issue to you for a Private Departure; (c) these Terms; and (d) any other content on the Site. Descriptive content on the Site is provided in good faith and is not contractual. Where Site content conflicts with a Booking Confirmation or the Operator's confirmed itinerary, the Booking Confirmation and confirmed itinerary prevail.
5. Inquiries and bookings
Submitting an inquiry through the Site does not create a booking and does not reserve any place, price or date. No booking exists, and no contract for the delivery of a Trip is formed, until the Operator confirms availability in writing and the required deposit has been received. Prices displayed on the Site are indicative "from" prices per person, are subject to availability, and may change at any time until confirmed in writing.
Prices are displayed in a number of currencies for convenience only. The currency of charge, and any conversion rate or foreign transaction fee applied, is determined by the Operator and by your card issuer, not by us.
6. Payments
All deposits and balances for every Trip, whether a Featured Trip or a Private Departure, are payable directly to the Operator through the Operator's own secure payment link, which we provide to you directly and through your traveler portal. WanderMe, LLC does not receive, hold or process any payment from you for any Trip, and we charge you no fee of any kind. We are compensated solely by commission paid by the Operator through our host agency. Payment due dates are stated at booking and shown in your portal. Failure to pay any amount by its due date may result in cancellation and in cancellation charges under the Operator Conditions.
You agree not to initiate a chargeback or payment dispute in respect of amounts properly due under this Agreement or the Operator Conditions without first raising the matter with us under Section 24.
7. Prices and inclusions
Each trip listing describes what is included and excluded. Unless expressly stated otherwise, international flights, travel insurance, visas, most meals, optional activities, gratuities and personal expenses are not included. Room upgrades, including a solo own room, are subject to availability and may not be available on nights involving trains, camping or homestays.
Where a Trip is advertised at a promotional or reduced price, that price is the Operator's own published promotion. We do not add markups to Featured Trips and we charge no booking fee on Featured Trips. You pay the same price you would pay booking the same Trip directly with the Operator.
8. Changes and cancellations
Cancellation and amendment terms follow the Operator Conditions applicable to your Trip, which we will provide to you in full before you pay. Refunds of amounts paid to an Operator are governed by the Operator Conditions and are made by the Operator, not by us. The summaries below are provided for convenience only and are not contractual. The confirmed Operator Conditions for your specific Trip, travel style and region of residence always govern.
Deposits. A non-refundable deposit per person is due at booking and is afterward held as a Lifetime Deposit (see below). If you book 60 days or fewer before departure, the full amount is due at booking. Deposit amounts by travel style and currency:

Scroll the table sideways to see all currencies. TailorMade, Day Tours, Mini Adventures and Away Games use their own deposit rules, noted further down.
Final payment. For most tours the balance is due 60 days before departure. Some styles differ: 90 days for National Geographic Signature and TailorMade, and 120 days for Expedition. Bookings made inside the applicable window are paid in full at the time of booking.
Standard cancellation schedule. Charges are based on the date G Adventures receives your notice of cancellation, as a percentage of the total trip price (excluding insurance):
- 60 days or more before departure: the deposit is retained as a Lifetime Deposit (operator credit); everything else you have paid is refunded.
- 30 to 59 days before departure: the deposit is retained as credit, and 50% of the remaining amount is refunded.
- Fewer than 30 days before departure: the deposit is retained as credit, and no further refund is payable.
The Lifetime Deposit has no expiry and no cash value, is transferable to another person, and must be applied to a future G Adventures trip of equal or greater value (and not to the same or similar travel dates).
Arrival transfers, pre/post-trip accommodation, My Own Room and optional activities booked through the operator are refunded in full if cancelled 31 days or more before departure; no refund applies if cancelled 30 days or fewer before departure.
Travel styles with their own schedules.
- Expedition: balance due 120 days out. Cancellation 90+ days = deposit held as credit and the rest refunded; 60–89 days = 50% of the remainder refunded; under 60 days = no further refund.
- National Geographic Signature: balance due 90 days out. Cancellation 90+ days = deposit held and the rest refunded; 89–46 days = 50% of the remainder refunded; 45 days or fewer = no further refund.
- TailorMade: a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the trip price (not held as a Lifetime Deposit); balance due 90 days out. Cancellation 90+ days = the 30% deposit retained and the rest refunded; 60–89 days = 50% of the trip price refunded; under 60 days = no refund.
- Day Tours: paid in full at booking. Cancellation 8+ days = full refund; 4–7 days = 50% refunded; 3 days or fewer = no refund.
- Mini Adventures: a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the price, held as a Lifetime Deposit.
- Egypt Eclipse 2027: cancellation 60+ days = deposit held and the rest refunded; under 60 days = no further refund.
- Inca Trail: on cancellation 60+ days out, an Inca Trail Charge is deducted from your credit and the rest refunded (then the standard 30–59 day / under-30 day schedule applies). The Inca Trail Charge is USD 235 (CAD 325 · AUD 335 · NZD 400 · GBP 180 · EUR 205 · CHF 185 · SGD 300 · HKD 1,840 · CNY 1,620 · ZAR 3,940 · JPY 37,320 · KRW 3,350,290).
- Away Games: deposit USD 750 (AUD 1,000 · NZD 1,200 · CAD 1,000 · CHF 650 · EUR 650 · GBP 600 · SGD 1,000 · HKD 6,000 · CNY 5,000 · JPY 110,000 · KRW 1,000,000 · ZAR 12,000). On cancellation, an Away Games Ticket Charge of USD 500 (AUD 700 · NZD 850 · CAD 700 · CHF 420 · EUR 420 · GBP 370 · SGD 700 · HKD 3,900 · CNY 3,400 · JPY 80,000 · KRW 750,000 · ZAR 8,250) is strictly non-refundable and excluded from any Lifetime Deposit; the remaining USD 250 is held as a standard Lifetime Deposit.
If G Adventures cancels. Once a departure has one fully paid customer it is guaranteed to operate, outside of Force Majeure. If G Adventures cancels for reasons other than Force Majeure, you may take an equivalent or superior substitute trip, a lesser substitute with the price difference refunded, or a full refund. If the cancellation is due to Force Majeure (or a suspension of operations), the options are a substitute trip, a travel credit worth 110% of monies paid, or a refund minus unrecoverable costs; if Force Majeure strikes after the trip has started, the 110% credit or refund-minus-costs applies pro-rata to the days remaining. Force Majeure travel credit is valid at least 2 years, is not redeemable for cash, and excludes flights and insurance. G Adventures is not responsible for incidental costs such as visas, vaccinations or non-refundable flights.
Insurance. Travel insurance is mandatory, with minimum medical, evacuation and repatriation cover of US$200,000 across all dates of travel; cancellation and curtailment cover is strongly recommended.
This is a summary of G Adventures' booking conditions current as of June 2026 and may change; the operator's confirmed booking conditions for your specific trip and travel style govern, and we will provide them before you pay.
Please select the region you booked from. Intrepid's cancellation terms differ depending on where your booking is made. Choose your region for the schedule that applies; we will confirm the exact conditions for your trip before you pay.
Applies to bookings made from all regions except the UK and the European Economic Area (for example, the United States and Canada).
Deposits and final payment. A non-refundable deposit secures your place, with the balance due ahead of departure (for most trips, no later than 56 days before). Bookings made inside that window are paid in full at booking. Deposit amounts and due dates vary by trip and currency, and we will confirm them for your booking.
Cancellation by you. Effective only once Intrepid receives written confirmation. Charges are based on the date that notice is received:
- 56 days or more before departure: your deposit is held as a Deposit Credit (operator credit).
- 31 to 55 days before departure: a fee of 30% of the total booking cost.
- 15 to 30 days before departure: a fee of 60% of the total booking cost.
- 14 days or fewer before departure: a fee of 100% of the booking cost.
A Deposit Credit cannot be applied to the same or similar travel dates. Some travel styles and add-ons carry different conditions (Intrepid's Special Conditions and your Essential Trip Information). If you leave a trip after it starts, or fail to join it, no refund is made for unused services.
Cancellation by Intrepid. Trips are guaranteed to depart once they have one fully paid customer, unless a minimum group size is stated (in which case Intrepid gives at least 30 days' notice of cancellation). If Intrepid cancels, you may move amounts paid to another departure, or take a refund or credit, except where the cancellation is due to a Force Majeure Event.
Force Majeure. Before departure, Intrepid offers a 100% credit of monies paid, or a refund minus unrecoverable costs; after the trip has started, the same options apply to the days remaining. Intrepid's ability to issue credit can depend on its suppliers issuing corresponding credits.
Changes and transfers. Transfers to another person or trip are allowed only when operationally possible and may carry supplier costs and an amendment fee. No amendments are permitted within 56 days of departure. Cancellation insurance is strongly advised at booking.
Applies to bookings made within the United Kingdom.
Cancellation by you. Effective only once your sales representative receives written confirmation. Your deposit and all other payments are put towards the cancellation fees below; if what you have paid does not cover the fee, you must pay the difference (and you authorize Intrepid to charge the payment card used for the booking). Charges by date notice is received:
- 56 days or more before departure: your deposit is held as a Deposit Credit.
If you leave a trip after it starts, or fail to join it, no refund is made for unused services. Should one member of a party cancel, it may increase the per-person price for those still traveling, and you will be liable for that increase.
Cancellation or changes by Intrepid. Trips depart once they have one fully paid customer unless a minimum group size is stated. Most changes are "Minor Changes" Intrepid may make without liability. For a "Significant Change" (for example, a change affecting at least one day in five, a lower-standard accommodation for a significant part of the trip, or a flight time moved more than 12 hours) you may accept it, reject it and cancel for a full refund, or take an alternative booking. If Intrepid cancels, you receive an alternative booking or a full refund, and a refund of any insurance premiums paid to Intrepid if you cannot reuse the policy. Intrepid may offer a credit voucher in place of a refund.
Unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances. You may cancel before departure, and Intrepid may cancel, where such circumstances at your destination (or its immediate vicinity) significantly affect the trip or transport to it. You receive a full refund of monies paid (no additional compensation); if it occurs after the trip starts, a refund minus unrecoverable costs for the remaining days. Intrepid considers FCDO travel advice, among other factors. There is no automatic statutory right of cancellation under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
Amendments and transfers. Transfers to another person are allowed when operationally possible and you must notify Intrepid no fewer than 7 days before departure; you and the transferee are jointly liable for the balance and any costs. No amendments are permitted within 56 days of departure, and change fees may apply. Certain confirmed arrangements cannot be amended or transferred and may carry a cancellation fee of up to 100%.
Applies to bookings made within the European Economic Area.
Cancellation by you. Effective only once your sales representative receives written confirmation. Your deposit and all other payments are put towards the cancellation fees below. Charges by date notice is received:
- 30 days or more before departure: your deposit (EUR 400 / CHF 400) is charged as the cancellation fee.
- 21 to 29 days before departure: a fee of 40% of the total trip cost.
- 16 to 20 days before departure: a fee of 60% of the total trip cost.
- 8 to 15 days before departure: a fee of 70% of the total trip cost.
- 7 days or fewer before departure: a fee of 80% of the total trip cost.
As with the UK, most changes are "Minor Changes"; for a "Significant Change" you may accept it, reject it and cancel for a full refund, or take an alternative booking. If Intrepid cancels, you receive an alternative booking or a full refund, plus a refund of insurance premiums paid to Intrepid if you cannot reuse the policy. A credit voucher may be offered in place of a refund.
Unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances. You may cancel before departure, and Intrepid may cancel, where such circumstances at your destination significantly affect the trip or transport to it. You receive a full refund of monies paid (no additional compensation); if it occurs after the trip starts, a refund minus unrecoverable costs for the remaining days.
Amendments and transfers. Transfers to another person are allowed when operationally possible, with at least 7 days' notice before departure; you and the transferee are jointly liable for the balance and any costs. No amendments are permitted within 30 days of departure, and change fees may apply. Certain confirmed arrangements cannot be amended or transferred and may carry a cancellation fee of up to 100%.
This is a summary of Intrepid's booking conditions current as of June 2026 and may change; the operator's confirmed booking conditions for your specific trip and region govern, and we will provide them before you pay.
This policy applies to private departures, where a trip from our catalog is arranged to run for your group alone, rather than as a fixed group departure open to other travelers.
Deposits. Deposits on private departures are non-refundable and are paid directly to the operator. They secure your dates and allow the operator to begin confirming arrangements.
After full payment. Once your trip is paid in full, it is generally non-refundable. A private departure is delivered by the operator using many individual suppliers, including hotels, guides, transport, permits and activities, and many of those bill the operator on non-refundable terms, so costs usually cannot be recovered once everything is confirmed.
Changes and cancellations. We will use reasonable efforts to put a change, a date move or a cancellation to the operator, but unlike a scheduled group departure there is no standard cancellation grid. What is possible depends entirely on each supplier's own conditions, and changes or cancellations may be up to 100% non-refundable. We confirm the specific deposit, payment and cancellation terms for your itinerary in writing before you pay anything.
Insurance. Comprehensive travel insurance with cancellation and curtailment cover is strongly recommended on every private departure, and we can help you arrange it.
9. Private departures
A Private Departure is a Trip from our catalog that the Operator arranges to run for your group alone. The Operator remains the organizer and the principal, exactly as it is for a Featured Trip. We take your request to the Operator, relay the Operator's price to you, and arrange the booking as agent. We do not design, package or assemble itineraries of our own.
Pricing. Private Departure pricing is set by the Operator, not by us. We confirm it to you in writing before you pay anything. Where a comparable trip exists at another Operator, we may present both so that you can compare them.
Adjustments. Requests such as an additional night, a different hotel, a substituted activity or a change of pace are put to the Operator on your behalf. Larger changes to the route or duration are priced by the Operator before you decide. No adjustment is confirmed until the Operator confirms it in writing.
Payment. Payment is made directly to the Operator through the Operator's own secure link, as set out in Section 6.
Deposits, changes and cancellations. Deposit, payment, amendment and cancellation terms for a Private Departure are set by the Operator and are confirmed to you in writing before you pay. They may differ from the scheduled-departure terms summarized in Section 8, and amounts paid may be non-refundable in whole or in part.
Insurance. Comprehensive travel insurance with cancellation and curtailment cover is strongly recommended on every Private Departure.
10. Travel insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is required on all Featured Trips, and Operators may refuse boarding or participation without evidence of it. Minimum coverage requirements are set by the Operator and are stated in the Operator Conditions. You are responsible for obtaining insurance appropriate to your Trip, your activities and your personal circumstances, including any pre-existing medical condition, and for reading the policy you buy.
We are not an insurance producer and we do not evaluate, recommend or advise on the terms, benefits, exclusions or suitability of any insurance policy. Where we introduce you to an insurance provider, that provider is solely responsible for the policy it issues, and your contract of insurance is with that provider.
11. Passports, visas, entry requirements and health
You are solely responsible for holding a valid passport with sufficient remaining validity and blank pages, all required visas, transit permits, vaccination records and health documentation for every country on your itinerary, including countries of transit. Entry requirements depend on your nationality, your residency and your travel history, and they change without notice.
We do not provide visa, immigration, medical, insurance, legal or tax advice. Information we provide on these subjects is general, is provided as a courtesy, and must be verified with the relevant embassy, consulate, government authority or qualified professional. We are not liable for any refusal of entry, denial of boarding, deportation, quarantine, missed departure, or cost or loss of any kind arising from incomplete, invalid or expired travel documentation or from a failure to meet a health requirement.
12. Assumption of risk and acknowledgement
You acknowledge that adventure travel involves inherent risks. Trips may include trekking and hiking at altitude, remote or wilderness travel, marine and expedition travel, small boats, water-based activities, animal encounters and wildlife viewing, cycling, camping, homestays, travel on local roads and local transport, and activities in regions where medical facilities, emergency services, communications, sanitation, road conditions and safety standards differ materially from those in your country of residence.
You further acknowledge that these risks include illness, injury, disability, emotional distress, property loss or damage, and death, and that these risks may arise from causes including accident, weather, natural disaster, terrain, altitude, animals, infectious disease, civil unrest, political instability, terrorism, crime, the acts or omissions of other participants, and delays or interruption in evacuation or medical treatment.
You voluntarily assume all such risks, whether foreseeable or not, and you accept that no amount of care can eliminate them. You represent that you have evaluated the physical demands and the health requirements of your Trip against your own fitness and medical condition, and that you have disclosed to us and to the Operator any condition relevant to your participation.
The Operator may exclude you from all or part of a Trip where it reasonably determines that you are not fit to participate safely. Nothing in this Section limits any right you have that cannot be waived under applicable law.
13. Traveler conduct
You agree to comply with the laws of each country you visit, to respect local customs, to follow the reasonable instructions of the Operator and its trip leaders, and to conduct yourself so as not to endanger, harass or unreasonably disturb any other person. An Operator may remove you from a Trip where your conduct is unlawful, unsafe or seriously disruptive. Where you are removed, no refund is due, and you are responsible for your own onward travel, accommodation and repatriation costs. You are liable for any loss or damage you cause.
14. Accessibility and special requirements
Tell us about any accessibility need, mobility requirement, dietary requirement or medical condition at the time of inquiry, so that we can ask the Operator whether the Trip can accommodate it. We will pass your requirements to the Operator, but we cannot guarantee that any request can be met, and a requirement notified after booking may not be capable of being accommodated. Acknowledgement of a request is not confirmation that it has been arranged.
15. Wander Score™ and Wander Verified
The Wander Score is WanderMe's own editorial sustainability rating. It reflects our good-faith assessment based on information available to us at the time of publication. It is provided for general information only. It is not a certification, an accreditation, an audit, a guarantee, or a representation of any third party, and it is not endorsed by any Operator or standards body. Scoring criteria may change.
"Wander Verified" indicates only that a member of the WanderMe team has personally taken that Trip. It is a self-awarded designation, not an independent verification, and experiences vary by departure, season, group and trip leader.
16. Wren, our AI assistant
Wren is an automated assistant powered by artificial intelligence. It is not a member of our team, and you are not communicating with a natural person when you use it.
Wren is provided for general information only, on an "as is" basis. It cannot create, amend, confirm, price or cancel a booking, and no statement it makes constitutes a quotation, a price guarantee, an availability confirmation, an offer or a representation binding on WanderMe. Where anything Wren says conflicts with a Booking Confirmation, a written quotation or the Operator's confirmed itinerary, those documents prevail.
Artificial intelligence systems can produce inaccurate or incomplete output. Verify with us anything material before relying on it, including prices, dates, availability, inclusions and entry requirements. Wren does not provide visa, immigration, medical, insurance, legal or financial advice. You may request a natural person at any time.
Do not submit payment card numbers, passwords, government identification numbers or other confidential information to Wren. Our handling of what you write to Wren is described in Section 9 of the Privacy Policy.
17. Your content and photographs
"Traveler Content" means any content you submit to us or upload to the Site, including photographs, reviews, testimonials, messages and documents. You retain ownership of your Traveler Content.
You grant WanderMe a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce and display your Traveler Content for the purpose of providing our services to you and operating the Site. We will not use your photographs or reviews in marketing without asking you first.
You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to your Traveler Content, that it does not infringe any third party's rights, and that where it depicts an identifiable person you have that person's consent. We may remove Traveler Content at our discretion. If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, contact us at the address in Section 30.
18. Acceptable use
You agree not to: access any account, data or area of the Site you are not authorized to access; probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Site or circumvent any security or authentication measure; scrape, harvest or systematically extract content or data; introduce malware or any harmful code; interfere with or place unreasonable load on the Site or its infrastructure; use the Site to send unsolicited communications; misrepresent your identity or affiliation; or use the Site for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate access for any breach of this Section.
19. Intellectual property
The Site and its contents, including photography, text, design, the WanderMe name and logo, and the Wander Score™, are owned by WanderMe or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and print content for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not otherwise copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, modify or create derivative works from it without our prior written permission.
20. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Site, its content and our services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory. We disclaim all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error free, that defects will be corrected, or that content, including trip descriptions, prices, availability, photography, itineraries and Wander Scores, is accurate, complete or current.
We make no warranty regarding any Operator, airline, accommodation provider, guide, transport provider, insurer or other third party, or regarding the goods or services they supply. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.
21. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WanderMe is not liable for the acts or omissions of any Operator, airline, accommodation provider, guide, transport provider, insurer or other third party, whether or not we introduced them to you, and whether or not we assisted with the arrangement. Our role in respect of a Featured Trip is that of agent, and our liability is limited accordingly.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WanderMe is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill, enjoyment or opportunity, arising out of or relating to this Agreement or your Trip, whether in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability or otherwise, and whether or not we were advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to this Agreement and your Trip shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount WanderMe actually received as compensation in connection with your booking, and (b) one thousand United States dollars (US$1,000).
Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
22. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WanderMe and its members, officers and agents from any claim, liability, loss, damage, cost or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or relating to: your breach of this Agreement; your violation of any law or of the rights of any third party; your Traveler Content; the conduct of any member of your booking party; or any inaccurate or incomplete information you provide to us or to an Operator.
23. Force majeure
WanderMe is not liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where that failure or delay results from an event beyond our reasonable control, including war, civil unrest, terrorism, epidemic or pandemic, government action, border closure, natural disaster, extreme weather, fire, flood, earthquake, volcanic activity, industrial action, failure of utilities or telecommunications, supplier insolvency, and the cancellation, suspension or rescheduling of services by any Operator or carrier. Where a Trip is affected by such an event, refunds and credits are governed by the Operator Conditions.
24. Complaints and time limit for claims
If a problem arises during your Trip, raise it immediately with the Operator's representative or trip leader, so that it can be addressed while you are travelling. Failure to do so may reduce or extinguish any right to a remedy. If the matter is not resolved, notify us in writing at the address in Section 30 within 30 days of the end of your Trip, giving your booking reference and the details of your complaint.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, any claim arising out of or relating to this Agreement must be brought within one (1) year after the cause of action accrues, and is otherwise permanently barred.
25. Electronic communications and contact consent
You consent to receive communications from us electronically, including by email and through your traveler portal, and you agree that electronic communications, agreements and notices satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. You may withdraw this consent by contacting us, though we may then be unable to provide our services.
Where you provide a mobile number, you consent to receive service messages relating to your booking and account, including one-time sign-in codes. Message and data rates may apply. Service messages are not marketing. We send marketing email only where you have opted in, and you may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email.
26. Changes to these terms
We may amend these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Amendments take effect when posted and apply to inquiries and bookings made after that date. The version of these Terms in force when your booking was confirmed governs that booking, except where a change is required by law. Your continued use of the Site after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.
27. Term and termination
This Agreement continues until terminated. You may terminate it at any time by ceasing to use the Site and closing your account. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site or your account, with or without notice, where you breach this Agreement or where we reasonably believe suspension is necessary to protect our travelers, our suppliers or our systems. Termination does not affect any confirmed booking, which remains governed by the Operator Conditions, nor any accrued right or obligation. Sections 12, 17, 19, 20, 21, 22, 24, 28 and 29 survive termination.
28. Governing law, venue and jury trial waiver
This Agreement, and any dispute arising out of or relating to it, the Site or your Trip, is governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of laws rules and excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
You and WanderMe agree that the state and federal courts located in the State of Illinois have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute, and each of us submits to the personal jurisdiction of those courts and waives any objection based on venue or forum non conveniens.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you and WanderMe each knowingly and voluntarily waive any right to a trial by jury in any proceeding arising out of or relating to this Agreement.
If you are a consumer resident in a jurisdiction whose law grants you the benefit of mandatory consumer protection provisions, or the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence, nothing in this Section deprives you of that protection or that right.
29. General provisions
Entire agreement. This Agreement is the entire agreement between you and WanderMe on its subject matter and supersedes all prior discussions, representations and understandings, except that nothing excludes liability for fraudulent misrepresentation.
Severability. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or if that is not possible, severed. The remaining provisions continue in full force.
No waiver. A failure or delay in enforcing any provision is not a waiver of it, and no single or partial exercise of a right prevents any further exercise.
Assignment. You may not assign or transfer this Agreement or any rights under it without our prior written consent. We may assign it in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, on notice to you.
No third-party beneficiaries. This Agreement does not confer any right on any person who is not a party to it, except that Operators may rely on Sections 20, 21 and 22 to the extent those Sections benefit them.
Notices. Notices to us must be sent to hello@wanderme.travel. Notices to you may be sent to the email address associated with your booking or account, and are deemed received on the day sent.
Relationship. Nothing in this Agreement creates a partnership, joint venture, employment or franchise relationship between you and us.
Headings. Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.

Part 2 · Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how WanderMe, LLC collects, uses, discloses and retains personal information. WanderMe, LLC is the controller of the personal information described here. Contact us about any privacy question or request at hello@wanderme.travel, or in writing at the postal address available on request. This Policy forms part of the Agreement described in Part 1 and takes effect on the date shown at the top of this page.
1. Information we collect
- Inquiry details: name, email address, telephone number (optional), traveler type, group size, budget range, travel dates and the trip preferences you share with us.
- Booking and traveler profile details: information needed to confirm and operate a booking, including each traveler's legal name, date of birth, gender as shown on travel documents, nationality, passport number, issuing country and expiry date, emergency contact details, room preferences, dietary requirements and travel insurance details.
- Sensitive information you choose to provide: health, medical or mobility information relevant to your Trip, and the passport and identity details above. This is treated as "sensitive personal information" under California law and as "special category data" under the EU and UK GDPR. See Section 4.
- Documents: files you or our team upload to your traveler portal, such as vouchers, itineraries, tickets and travel documents.
- Account, portal and assistant data: sign-in identifiers (email address or mobile number for one-time codes), saved and favorited trips, messages you send our team, and your conversations with Wren.
- Site usage information: when you view a page we record an anonymous session identifier, the page viewed, the trip viewed (if any), the referring page and a general device category. This is first-party analytics used to understand which trips and pages are useful. See Section 10.
- Technical information: your IP address and browser user agent, which are received by us and by our hosting and content delivery providers as an unavoidable part of serving the Site.
2. How we use it
- To respond to your inquiries and to design or arrange your Trip.
- To transmit necessary details to the Operator fulfilling your booking and, where required, to our host agency Fora Travel, Inc. for accreditation, booking and commission processing. Operators and Fora process your information under their own privacy policies and as independent controllers.
- Where you request it, to share relevant details with our insurance partner so that they can prepare a travel insurance quotation.
- To operate your traveler portal, authenticate you and provide customer support.
- To send service messages about your booking and account, and to send marketing email where you have opted in.
- To answer your questions through Wren, and to pass a conversation to a member of our team when you ask for one. See Section 9.
- To operate, secure, maintain and improve the Site, including through the first-party analytics described in Section 10.
- To comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
3. Legal bases for processing
Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request before entering one, to handle your inquiry, arrange your Trip and transmit details to the Operator; your consent for marketing email, for the optional insurance quotation, and for the processing of special category data such as health and dietary information, which you may withdraw at any time; our legitimate interests in securing, maintaining and improving our services and in understanding how the Site is used, balanced against your rights; and compliance with legal obligations. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.
Where we rely on explicit consent to process special category data, that consent is obtained separately and is not bundled with your acceptance of the Terms.
4. Sensitive personal information
We collect sensitive personal information, specifically passport and identity details and health, medical, mobility and dietary information, solely to arrange, confirm and operate your Trip and to meet Operator and carrier requirements. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling. Because our use is limited to these purposes, we do not use or disclose it for purposes that would trigger a right to limit under California Civil Code section 1798.121. You may nonetheless ask us to limit our use of it, and to delete it, using the methods in Section 12, and we will explain the effect on your booking before acting.
5. Who we disclose it to
We disclose personal information to the following categories of recipient:
- The Operator running your Trip, and its local suppliers, as necessary to deliver it.
- Fora Travel, Inc., our host agency, for accreditation, booking and commission processing.
- Our insurance partner, where you request a quotation.
- Service providers acting on our instructions: Supabase (database, authentication and file storage), Resend (transactional email), Netlify (website hosting) and Anthropic (the AI provider behind Wren).
- Providers that receive technical information because your browser contacts them directly when a page loads: Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com), jsDelivr and Cloudflare cdnjs (JavaScript libraries), and Unsplash, Pexels and Operator media servers (images). These providers receive your IP address, browser user agent and the referring page. We do not send them your booking or profile information.
- Professional advisers, and authorities, where required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
- A successor, in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under California law. We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding 12 months, including the personal information of any person under 16.
6. Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in Section 2, or for as long as the law requires, and we then delete it or irreversibly anonymize it. The criteria we apply are as follows.
- Account and traveler profile information: retained for as long as your account remains open. You may close your account at any time from your traveler portal. When you do, we delete your profile, your saved trips, your inquiries and the documents you uploaded.
- Passport numbers, passport expiry dates, and health, medical and dietary information: retained only while needed to arrange and operate your Trip, and deleted automatically 90 days after your Trip ends. This is the one category we act on to a fixed schedule, because its purpose ends when your Trip does.
- Booking and financial records: retained for as long as needed to meet tax, accounting and legal obligations and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, which is ordinarily seven years from the end of the Trip. We retain these even if you close your account, and Section 12 explains why a deletion request does not always extend to them.
- Inquiries: retained for seven years, so that we can follow up on your travel plans and answer questions about what we discussed. Dietary information you gave us is deleted after 24 months, because its purpose ends with the trip it was given for. After seven years we clear the detail and keep only a minimal record of the inquiry itself.
- Correspondence, including any Wren conversation you asked us to pass to a colleague: retained for as long as needed to handle your matter and to keep an accurate record of what we told you.
- Site usage information: retained indefinitely. This information is not linked to you: it consists of a random per-session identifier, the page viewed, the trip viewed, the referring page and a general device category. It contains no name, email address, account identifier or IP address, so it cannot be traced back to an individual.
Where a legal obligation requires us to retain information for longer than these criteria provide, we retain it for that period and no longer.
7. Security
We apply technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit, access controls, database row-level security so that a signed-in traveler can reach only their own records, and restriction of portal data to you and to authorized WanderMe personnel. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
8. International transfers
WanderMe, our host agency, Operators and our service providers may process your information in the United States and in other countries, whose data protection laws may differ from those of your own country. Where we transfer personal information out of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards where required, including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. Contact us for details of the safeguards in place.
9. Wren, our AI assistant
Wren answers questions on our Site and in our app using artificial intelligence. Four points are relevant to your information.
- What we send. Your message and the earlier messages in that conversation are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate the reply. No account identifier is attached to that request. If you are signed in, Wren is additionally given read-only access to your own account details, meaning your bookings and traveler profile, so that it can answer questions about your Trip. This access is enforced by your own authenticated session, and Wren cannot see any other traveler's information.
- Training. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, conversations submitted through its API are not used to train its models.
- What we keep. Conversations with Wren are not saved to your account and are not stored on our servers. They are held in your own browser or app for the life of that tab or session, so that you can move between screens without losing your place, and they are discarded when you close the tab or app, when you sign out, or after a period of inactivity. The only exception is when you ask to speak to a person: at that point the conversation is emailed to our team so that a colleague can reply to you, and we then retain it as we would any other email correspondence from you.
- Decisions. Wren does not make automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects concerning you. It cannot confirm, amend, price or cancel anything. A person always does that.
Please do not share passwords, payment card numbers or government identification numbers with Wren.
10. Cookies, storage and analytics
We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or cross-site tracking of any kind. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not permit any third party to do so through our Site.
We use first-party browser storage that is strictly necessary or functional, for example to keep you signed in to your traveler portal and to remember preferences such as your chosen currency and language.
We do run our own first-party analytics. When you view a page, we record an anonymous session identifier, the page, the trip viewed (if any), the referring page and a general device category, into our own database. This information is not sold, is not shared with any advertising network, and is not used to identify you. We honour the Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track browser signals, and where either is present we do not record this information.
Because this storage and analytics is first-party and either strictly necessary or, in the case of analytics, subject to the signals described above, we do not display a consent banner in the United States. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we ask for your consent before recording analytics information. If we ever introduce advertising or other non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this Policy.
11. Children
The Site and our booking services are intended for adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child. Where a Trip includes a minor, the minor's details are provided and managed by a booking adult with authority to do so. Some Trips carry minimum age requirements, shown on the trip page. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information directly, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights: to know what personal information we hold and how we use it; to access a copy of it; to correct inaccurate information; to delete it; to data portability; to opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising, none of which we do; to limit the use of sensitive personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent at any time.
How to make a request. Email hello@wanderme.travel, or submit a request from the account settings area of your traveler portal. We will verify your identity before acting, using information already associated with your account, and we will not require you to create an account in order to make a request. An authorized agent may make a request on your behalf with written proof of authority.
Our response times. We acknowledge requests within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days, extendable once by a further 45 days where reasonably necessary, and we will tell you if we need the extension. Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we respond within one month, extendable by two further months for complex requests.
Appeals. If we decline your request, we will tell you why. You may appeal by replying to our decision with the word "Appeal" in the subject line. We will respond to an appeal within 45 days with a written explanation. If your appeal is denied, you may contact your state Attorney General.
Non-discrimination. We will not deny you goods or services, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of service because you exercised a privacy right.
If you are in the EEA or the UK, you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. In the United Kingdom this is the Information Commissioner's Office, ico.org.uk.
13. Additional information for California residents
This Section supplements the above and is provided under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended.
Notice at collection. The categories of personal information we collect are set out in Section 1, the purposes for which we use each are set out in Section 2, the categories of recipient are set out in Section 5, and our retention periods are set out in Section 6. In the terms of the statute, the categories we collect are identifiers, customer records information, protected classification characteristics, commercial information, internet or network activity information, geolocation to city level inferred from IP address, and sensitive personal information.
We do not sell or share personal information, so we do not provide a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link. Because our use of sensitive personal information is limited to the purposes permitted by section 1798.121(d), we do not provide a "Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information" link, though you may still make that request under Section 12.
Shine the Light. California Civil Code section 1798.83 permits California residents to request information about disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not make such disclosures. You may confirm this by writing to hello@wanderme.travel.
Do Not Track. We honour Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals as described in Section 10.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version, and we review this Policy at least once every 12 months. Where a change is material, we will notify you by email or through your traveler portal before it takes effect.
