Terms & Conditions
and Privacy Policy

Part 1 · Terms & Conditions

1. Who we are and what we do

WanderMe, LLC ("WanderMe", "we", "us") acts as a travel agent and curator. We feature group trips operated by third-party tour operators (including Intrepid, G Adventures and Exoticca) and design custom itineraries. When you book a featured trip through us, your contract for the delivery of the trip itself is with the operator, and the operator's own booking conditions apply alongside these terms. We will always tell you who the operator is before you commit.

WanderMe operates as an independent affiliate of Fora Travel, Inc. ("Fora"), our host agency. Fora provides our IATA accreditation and processes supplier commissions on our behalf. This arrangement does not affect the price you pay. Fora Travel, Inc. is a registered Seller of Travel in California (No. 2151995-50), Florida (No. ST43973) and Washington (UBI No. 605329242), and holds British Columbia CPBC License No. 88694 and Ontario TICO Registration No. 50027942.

2. Enquiries and bookings

Submitting an enquiry through our site does not create a booking. A booking exists once the operator confirms availability and your deposit is received. Prices shown on our site are indicative "from" prices per person and are subject to change until confirmed in writing.

3. Payments

Deposits and balances are typically paid through the relevant operator's secure payment link, which we provide to you directly and through your traveler portal. Payment due dates will be communicated at booking and shown in your portal. Failure to pay a balance by its due date may result in cancellation under the operator's conditions.

4. Prices and inclusions

Each trip listing describes what is included and excluded. Unless stated otherwise, international flights, travel insurance, visas, most meals, optional activities and personal expenses are not included. Room upgrades (such as a solo own room) are subject to availability and may not be available on nights involving trains, camping or homestays.

5. Changes and cancellations

Cancellation and amendment terms follow the operator's policy applicable to your trip, which we will share in full before you pay. Refunds of amounts paid to operators are governed by those policies. Most of our group trips are operated by G Adventures, so a summary of their standard cancellation policy is set out below. Other operators (such as Intrepid and Exoticca) have their own deposit, payment and cancellation terms, which we will confirm for your specific trip.

Deposits and final payment (G Adventures). A non-refundable deposit is due at booking. The amount varies by travel style and currency (for example, in euros, from €250 for Roamies and 18-to-Thirtysomethings, €350 for most Classic, Active, Family, Marine and National Geographic Journeys trips, €650 for National Geographic Signature, and €1,000 for Expedition cruises). The balance is due 60 days before departure for most tours (90 days for National Geographic Signature and TailorMade, 120 days for Expedition). Bookings made inside those windows are paid in full at the time of booking.

Standard tour cancellation schedule. Cancellation charges are based on the date G Adventures receives your notice of cancellation, as a percentage of the total trip price (excluding insurance):

The Lifetime Deposit has no expiry and no cash value, may be transferred to another person, and must be applied to a future G Adventures trip of equal or greater value (and not to the same or similar travel dates).

Arrival transfers, pre/post-trip accommodation, My Own Room and optional activities booked through the operator are refunded in full if cancelled 31 days or more before departure; no refund applies if cancelled 30 days or fewer before departure.

Other G Adventures travel styles. Expedition cruises, National Geographic Signature, TailorMade, Inca Trail, Day Tours and Mini Adventures carry their own deposit amounts and cancellation windows (for example, Expedition uses a 90/60-day schedule, and Day Tours can usually be cancelled free up to 8 days before departure). Inca Trail permits are non-refundable and a fixed Inca Trail charge is deducted from any credit. We will confirm the exact schedule for your trip before you pay.

Cancellation due to unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances. You may cancel without a cancellation charge and receive a refund of the monies you have paid (with no additional compensation) where official government advice changes, after you booked, to warn against travel to your destination or its immediate vicinity.

Insurance. Travel insurance is mandatory. G Adventures requires coverage of at least USD $200,000 for medical, evacuation and repatriation across all dates of travel; cancellation and curtailment cover is strongly recommended.

Any service fee charged by WanderMe for custom itinerary design is identified at the time of quotation and is non-refundable once design work has begun. The above is a summary of G Adventures' booking conditions current as of June 2026 and may change; the operator's confirmed booking conditions for your specific trip and region govern, and we will provide them before you pay.

6. Travel insurance and documents

Comprehensive travel insurance is required on all featured trips. You are responsible for ensuring you hold a valid passport, required visas and any health documentation for your destination.

7. Wander Score and Wander Verified

The Wander Score is WanderMe's editorial sustainability rating, provided for information only. It reflects our good-faith assessment and is not a certification or guarantee. "Wander Verified" indicates that a member of the WanderMe team has personally taken the trip; experiences may vary by departure, season and leader.

8. Our liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WanderMe's liability in connection with featured trips is limited to our role as agent. We are not liable for the acts or omissions of operators, airlines, accommodation providers or other third parties, or for events beyond our reasonable control.

9. Website content

Content on this site, including photography, text, the Wayfinder mark and the Wander Score, belongs to WanderMe or its licensors and may not be reproduced without permission. Trip details are provided in good faith and may change; the operator's confirmed itinerary prevails.
